Accessibility Statement

Villa Lario Resort Mandello is committed to ensuring the accessibility of its website villalarioresortmandello.com in compliance with Directive (EU) 2019/882, known as the European Accessibility Act (EAA), and the related national implementing provisions.

This statement applies to the website villalarioresortmandello.com.

WHY THIS STATEMENT

Villa Lario Resort Mandello has chosen to draft this accessibility statement in line with Directive (EU) 2019/882 as a demonstration of its commitment to providing an online experience that is as accessible and inclusive as possible for all users.

CONTEXT AND PURPOSE

The website villalarioresortmandello.com presents the hospitality, dining, and event services offered at Villa Lario Resort Mandello. It is aimed at a broad, national and international audience who mainly use the site to request information or to book rooms, tables, or special events.

The site has been designed with a focus on usability and intuitive navigation, while respecting the visual identity and elegance that characterise the brand. Some limitations are due to the tools used (such as the Elementor builder and external booking modules), which may affect full accessibility for all user profiles.

COMPLIANCE STATUS

Partially compliant

The website is currently partially compliant with the accessibility requirements set out in Directive (EU) 2019/882 and the technical standard EN 301 549 v3.2.1, which incorporates the WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines.

MEASURES TAKEN AND IDENTIFIED ISSUES

Preliminary technical checks and automated tests have been carried out, which identified the following issues:

  • Some interactive elements are not fully accessible via keyboard;
  • Some forms and input fields lack labels that can be read by screen readers;
  • On certain pages, the contrast between text and background is insufficient;
  • The structure of headings and subheadings is not always consistent;
  • Some links do not provide sufficient context (e.g. “click here”);
  • Not all images include a descriptive alt attribute;
  • Graphic elements and animations cause layout shifts (CLS 0.48);
  • Some JavaScript and CSS content is redundant or render-blocking;
  • On mobile: high Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) (30,000 ms), excessive DOM size, and total payload > than 9 MB.

The website was built using the Elementor page builder for WordPress. While Elementor offers features compatible with accessibility requirements, certain structural limitations may affect full compliance with WCAG 2.1 criteria.
